Risk Management Manager

Full‑time, on‑site position at Kāhala Nui, Hawaii’s premier senior living community. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Base Pay Range

$75,000.00/hr – $78,000.00/hr

Description

The Risk Management Manager (RMM) supports the development, coordination, and ongoing management of Kāhala Nui’s corporate risk management and safety culture programs. The RMM works closely with the COO, Nursing Home Administrator, HR, and the Leadership Team to identify, assess, and reduce risks across the entire community. In addition, the RMM supports risk control, event management, claims coordination, safety initiatives, and compliance across clinical and non‑clinical settings.

The role promotes systems‑based thinking and upholds the community’s commitment to a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, risk management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in healthcare risk management, compliance, quality, safety, or a related field.
  • Experience with incident review and claims coordination.
  • Preferred, but not required, licensures: ARM, CPHRM, CSP, CPASRM.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare risk management, claims coordination, safety principles, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support improvement plans.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to speak to large crowds and present information clearly to diverse groups, including associates, leadership, residents, and board members.
  • Proof of annual TB clearance in accordance with state regulations upon hire.

Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements.
