Our nationally recognized surgical program is a leader in robotic and minimally invasive procedures, utilizing cutting‑edge technologies to perform complex surgeries. You’ll work alongside expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, Certified Perioperative Nurses (CNOR), Certified Post Anesthesia Nurses (CPAN®), Surgical Technologists, and Nursing Assistants—all dedicated to delivering exceptional care.
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting surgeons and nursing staff during operations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain aseptic and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies
- Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
- Properly handle, label, and care for surgical instruments and specimens
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Collaborative and supportive surgical team
- State‑of‑the‑art facilities and advanced surgical technology
- Commitment to patient‑centered care and professional development
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program; or three (3) years experience as an OR Technician or Surgical Technologist in an acute care or outpatient setting.
- Association of Surgical Technologists Certification preferred.
- Current certification in BLS/HCP.
- Essential: standing, walking, stooping/bending, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual amount of 35 lbs, pushing/pulling usual amount of 50 pounds of force, carrying usual amount of 35 lbs, reaching above/at/below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions, static/frequent gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
- As required, operates sterilizers, drills, saws, microscopes, surgical tables, and various other surgical equipment/instrumentation.
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subject to noise and/or vibration, hazardous physical conditions and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or the skin.
