Position: HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST V - OAHU

Location:

Downtown and Halawa to Kalihi. Immediate vacancies located in Downtown and Halawa to Kalihi.

Salary: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I).

Position Overview

Performs the most difficult human resources work independently and furnishes HR management advisory services and evaluations for complex, new, or dynamic organizations; serves as specialist, consultant, and troubleshooter with independent responsibility for a functional area, resolving very difficult HR problems and handling assignments of a very complex nature; performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Basic Education/

    Experience:

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Specialized

    Experience:

    Three and one-half years of professional work experience in one or any combination of HR management functions: recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, HR program development and services, labor relations, and HR research.
  • Supervisory Aptitude: Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted. Requirement considered met when strong affirmative evidence of necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential exists.
  • Federal Criminal History Records Check: Must undergo fingerprint-based criminal history check for TWIC clearance. No disqualifying convictions within seven years. Cost paid by applicant; upon hire reimbursed with TWIC receipt.
