Computer Systems Technician I
At BRMS, the Computer Systems Technician I provides company-wide computer hardware and software support.
Responsibilities- Works on site with consistent attendance.
- Maintain all office computer hardware/software directly and with contractor support as required.
- Install, test, and repair computers and peripheral equipment.
- Install and maintain software.
- Troubleshoot and analyze hardware/software issues and provide support to satisfy end‑user requests.
- Research current hardware/software markets and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Assist in the implementation and completion of computer‑related projects.
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Oversee and perform scheduled maintenance on computer hardware as necessary.
- Assist IT team as requested, including QA.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Excellent communication skills to present technical and business information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Excellent computer hardware skills, including PC and peripheral troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent software skills, including Windows operating systems, networking and Microsoft Office products. OS deployment included.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange / Office 365.
- Experience with VoIP phone systems (Ring Central, Genesys Cloud and others).
- Knowledge of scripting and command‑line interfaces (Power Shell, Python, CLI, etc.) is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED, with related experience in information systems, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Ability to read, speak, and write effectively in English; ability to interpret documents such as memos, letters, and procedure manuals.
- Strong reasoning and analytical abilities, including the capacity to interpret instructions, exercise reason and logic to resolve practical problems, and analyze relevant information in situations with limited standardization.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with no adverse driving record.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, and lift or move up to 10 pounds.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods in front of a computer, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, occasionally stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position is office based.
