Overview

Oracle DBA (Database Administrator) – Honolulu, HI 96815. TS/SCI Full Poly clearance required; U.S. Citizenship is required.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Oracle DBA to join our team and take ownership of managing and optimizing our Oracle database systems. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical databases, implement backup and recovery strategies, and monitor system health to identify and resolve issues proactively. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically adept, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can make a meaningful impact on data-driven operations.

General comment on degrees:
Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.

• Install and configure Oracle databases
• Manage database backup and recovery processes
• Monitor database performance and resolve bottlenecks
• Implement and enforce database security measures
• Create and maintain database schemas and structures
• Support database migrations and upgrades

• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
• Expertise in Oracle database tools (e.g., RMAN, OEM)
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning
• Experience with database replication technologies
• Familiarity with data backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Ability to write and debug database scripts

• Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Knowledge of cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud)
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds)
