Network Architect

Aloha! One of Hawaii's largest and oldest banks is seeking a Network Architect to join their team.

* Main Duties
* * Fulfill or resolve network request or trouble call and complete required documentation (i.e.trouble ticket, network access request, Service Request, etc.).

* Understand and follow directions and adhere to policies and procedures. Lead and coordinate network projects (i.e., firewall, core router/switch, protocols, security, etc.).

* Work with users and vendors to resolve network connectivity or capacity issues.

* Recommend and implement cost reduction solutions and support critical bank network equipment or complex systems

* Required Qualifications:

* * Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience required.

* Minimum of five (5) years of equivalent work experience in Information Technology field supporting and maintaining infrastructure/applications required.

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience with managing and supporting network systems required. Required experience may be obtained concurrently.

* * Professional certifications in technology from vendors such as Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Palo Alto and/or related, or equivalent work experience with technology from these vendors preferred.

* Understanding and experience in infrastructure hardware and software evaluation, selection and implementation.

* Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network and/or telecommunications related issues in a timely manner.

* Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices in configuring infrastructure components, along with experience in analyzing, designing, installing, and documenting local, wide, and enterprise-wide data networks and telecommunication systems.

* Demonstrated ability to design, implement and troubleshoot network hardware and devices.

* Advanced knowledge in network administration and management tools.

* Working knowledge with network infrastructure components, including hardware and security tools.

* Proficient experience with network solutions.

* Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with end-users.

* Working knowledge of information security and how it relates to management of infrastructure.

* Proficient with system monitoring tools such as Solarwinds.

* Familiar with Project Management concepts.

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Hours:

* Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Work hours may vary)
On-site in Honolulu

* This is a Permanent position based out of HONOLULU, HI.

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $94000.00/yr.
