About the roleHII Mission Technologies is in search of an INDOPACOM Senior Program Manager to support the All Domain Operations Group. This position is in Honolulu Hawaii. This position manages multiple Program Managers and personnel as assigned in support of US Government customers and their activities within the Department of Defense (DoD). The manager has responsibility for achieving business goals and growth targets, developing assigned personnel, serves as the primary point of contact of HII to assigned customers, and directly contributes to the definition and implementation of company strategy.
The successful candidate will be an acknowledged expert in geopolitical and military operational issues facing operations within the maritime domain, special operations enterprise, and intelligence communities. The candidate will be goal-oriented with a history of driving innovation and skillfully working across large organizations to build consensus and support. The ideal candidate is drawn to opportunities and innovation, enjoys teamwork, and regards critical thinking and problem-solving as essential, with a passion for winning in the Pacific.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Develop and guide initiatives that improve our value to customers and create identifiable differentiators amongst our competitors.
- Provide senior-level leadership ensuring achievement of performance and financial goals for assigned programs/contracts.
- Ensure adequate and timely staffing of all programs/contracts and professional development of all assigned personnel. Conduct individual performance assessments and successor planning.
- Maintain close contact with customers, PMOs, CORs and Contracting Officers to make requisite and timely adjustments to programs (managers, staff, priorities, and deliverables).
- Coordinate changes in scope or funding with the appropriate HII contract, subcontract, or finance representative.
- Lead people and programs while developing new business opportunities within DoD in accordance with growth targets; ensure preparation and submission of winning proposals for re-compete efforts. Coordinate Growth/BD, Capture and Proposal support as required.
- Advise on corporate strategic and technology investment planning in support of Indo-Pacific based customers - Maritime and Special Operations - priority.
- Conduct Program Management Reviews, monthly program variance assessments, and Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
- Collaborate with functional departments to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with corporate policies and standards; maintain high ethical standards.
- Personally model HII values of integrity, safety, honesty, engagement, responsibility, and performance.
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 4 years with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years relevant progressive experience.
- 5 years operational experience in the OCONUS; prefer Maritime, Joint/sub-unified headquarters experience.
- 5 years Indo-Pacific regional experience.
- Clearance: TS/SCI.
- Must be a Certified Program Manager (PMP) or able to obtain within six months of hiring.
- Managed multiple Program or Project Managers and FRE counts in excess of 100.
- 3 years managing contract portfolio in the defense industry, including GSA AAS-D Task Orders.
- 5 years leadership experience in the Command and Control, Logistics, or Intelligence and/or Maritime domain.
- Language proficiency (Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or Thai).
- Strong government relationships in COMSUBPAC, SOCPAC, PACFLT, INDOPACOM, USARPAC, MARFORPAC.
- Passionate about Workforce Development in Hawaii.
