Job Summary

Kelly Services is hiring for our customer! We are seeking an Assistant Office Manager to help lead the efficient operation of a busy Branch Office located in Honolulu. In this pivotal role, you will manage the daily office operations, create and maintain a positive work environment, and ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness and communication. The Assistant Office Manager reports to the Office Manager, Deputy Branch Manager, and/or Branch Manager and plays a crucial role in the successful day-to-day function of the branch.

Job Functions
  • Manage daily office operations, including overseeing sales and purchase orders
  • Direct and implement office strategies under the guidance of Office and Branch Management
  • Train and onboard all new branch office employees
  • Manage and track staff attendance, overtime, and conduct disciplinary action as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, logistics, and office teams
  • Prepare and submit reports to city, county, state, or federal entities as required
  • Lead and analyze physical inventory, resolve errors, and report results
  • Communicate and coordinate with HQ departments, outside vendors, and suppliers
  • Assist with recruitment, interviews, and finding suitable candidates for vacancies
  • Offer suggestions for process and budget improvements
  • Adjust assignments or cover duties in the event of unexpected staff absences
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop office staff
  • Conduct or support staff performance appraisals
  • Prepare data and reports to monitor office performance
  • Attend branch meetings with management
  • Supervise customs clearance for merchandise and support import-related administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strong team player, able to work across departments
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
