Job SummaryStep into the role of AFHE Maintenance Technician and become an indispensable part of our team. In this pivotal position, you will maintain, modify, and install Automated Fueling System Equipment (AFHE) across various sites and projects worldwide, directly contributing to the seamless operations essential for Global Readiness & Sustainment of the United States Military.
Roles And Responsibilities- Efficient Time and Resource Management – strategically direct and manage the allocation of time and resources to meet demanding schedules, ensuring adherence to K and stakeholder standards for quality and value.
- Documentation Management – diligently maintain and track maintenance documents and deliverables, ensuring timely submission for review and approval.
- Customer Site Coordination – organize, schedule, and execute high‑quality work at customer sites, maintaining a standard of excellence in service delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement – foster and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, engaging with site personnel to achieve project objectives.
- Install Industrial Control Systems – PLC panels, VFDs, control wiring (24
VDC, 120
VAC, analog, digital signals), sensors, limit switches, encoders, HMI screens. - Troubleshoot Automation Equipment – PLC logic issues, faulty relays, sensors, I/O modules, motor control problems, network or communication faults (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet).
- Program or Modify Control Systems – create or edit PLC ladder logic, function block, structured text; configure VFD parameters; update HMI graphics and process controls.
- Additional Responsibilities – undertake any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in supporting organizational needs.
- Physical Requirements – able to lift ±40 lbs; climb stairs to heights of 20’ or greater; perform kneeling, bending, and work in varied conditions.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Pass a NACLC security background check.
- Strong electrical knowledge beyond standard electricians.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting 3‑phase and single‑phase AC circuits, low‑voltage DC control circuits, and communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP‑IP.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial network infrastructure (Ethernet, fiber optic).
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron).
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify control schematics, wiring diagrams, design drawings, P&IDs, ladder logic.
- Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, process calibrators, instrumentation calibration for pressure, flow, temperature, level).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital technology.
- Knowledge of NEC code, NFPA 70e, and mechanical aptitudes (pneumatics, hydraulics).
- Computer and Microsoft Windows proficiency.
- Current possession of a government CAC.
- Active or previous security clearance.
- Experience with SCADA systems.
$27.74/hr to $41.63/hr DOE
