Position: Aircraft Structural Technician, F-22 - Level 4

Job Title

Aircraft Structural Technician, F-22 – Level 4 (Lockheed Martin)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Perform time‑critical panel removal and installation, and structural repairs on metallic and composite components, TCTOs, modifications, and ground handling of aircraft and other duties as assigned.
  • Work daily with engineering drawings, technical manuals, structural repair manuals, and engineers as needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Remove and replace brackets, fittings at FOD critical locations such as A/C wire harnesses, engine bays, fuel bays, and around avionics equipment.
  • Use hand‑ and pneumatic air tooling to complete tasks.
  • Utilize tooling to perform cutouts at panels or stress panels when required.
  • Obtain and deliver any required in‑the‑job training as needed.
  • Maintain a flexible shift schedule and work in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD‑free work area.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Desired Skills
  • Fabricate detail parts such as shims, splices, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches, using shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required.
  • Bond sheet metal/composite aircraft parts and repair composite and sheet‑metal IML and OML assemblies.
  • Have working knowledge of programs such as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, Supply Chain Management, and Time Accounting.
