Position: Full-time, Grants Support Specialist
Location: Honolulu
Industry: Non-Profit
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay: $24.00 per hour

The Grants Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the administration of grant funding by assisting with the review, coordination, and tracking of grant applications and awards. Working closely with leadership and the grants team, this position helps ensure accurate application processing, effective communication with applicants, and timely coordination of grant-related information. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while supporting nonprofit partners throughout the grant lifecycle.
Job Duties- Review and process funding applications submitted by nonprofit organizations
- Confirm applicant eligibility by validating required information against established guidelines
- Maintain accurate electronic records and perform data entry to support grant tracking
- Communicate with applicants to request missing information or provide status updates
- Coordinate with internal teams to support payment processing and award tracking
- Gather, review, and validate documentation required for grant payments
- Provide guidance and basic technical support to funded organizations as needed
- Monitor and respond to grant-related inquiries via phone and email
- Assist the Grants Manager with administrative and operational aspects of the grants process
- Support data collection, reporting, and documentation efforts
- Complete additional related duties as assigned
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic understanding of nonprofit operations is a plus
- Experience working with or supporting nonprofit organizations
- Comfortable communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders at varying levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with grant management systems or community impact programs preferred
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
