Overview

The Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is comprised of over 800 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Together with our four medical centers (Kapi‘olani, Pali Momi, Straub, and Wilcox) and more than 50 convenient clinic locations statewide, our nonprofit health system is one of the state’s largest health care providers. Our network of physicians and specialists work together to provide a distinctive and effective model of coordinated care for maintaining the health and wellness of our patients.

At Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides continuous acute care to newborns of up to three months, including meeting the complex psychosocial needs of both the child and their family. Nursing and medical support staff in the NICU work with the Neonatology team to care for premature babies and assist in pediatric surgeries, providing care to newborn infants with cardiovascular and/or respiratory disease and infants requiring treatments for various diagnoses including infection and surgery.

Support and education is delivered to patients and family in an atmosphere that promotes bonding of the family unit.

As the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate and life-changing care to newborns and their families. You will be responsible for the direct care and treatment of neonatal patients; leading and performing patient evaluations, treatments and specialized technical procedures; serving as a clinical resource to staff and physicians; and facilitating the health education of family members, referrals to other disciplines and consultation with other allied health personnel.

We are looking for someone with warm and professional patient care skills, a love of working with babies and families and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.
