Wellness Trainer – Arcadia Family of Companies
Pay Range$18.90/hr - $23.96/hr
Location15 Craigside, Nuuanu
Shifts- Part‑Time B: 20–29 hours per week — Mondays & Fridays 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00 am–12:00 pm (shorter schedule)

- Conducts and creates safe group and individual exercises with strength, balance, and movement on land and pool.
- Assists residents—independent, assisted living, and skilled nursing—on mobility, balance, range of motion.
- Instructs on correct use of exercise equipment and provides support on and off equipment.
- Respects residents’ rights and privacy.
- Leads and organizes personal training sessions with Arcadia at Home members.
- Oversees the swimming pool and assists residents safely in and out of the pool.
- Obtains proper release waivers and doctor permission slips from residents.
- Charts wellness attendance, participation, and progress.
- Performs routine pool maintenance—water quality testing and vacuuming—when scheduled.
- Maintains Wellness Center clean and organized.
- Performs required duties for emergency drills and situations—fire, hurricanes, etc., per Disaster Manual.
- Ensures departmental compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Education / Experience
:
One year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience/training, or equivalent combination. Prior experience with seniors or fitness preferred. - Certificates
:
Current CPR and First Aid certification required. - Computer Skills
:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Physical Demands
:
Sit, talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands for reaching, lending, lift up to 10 lbs; vision requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus). - Work Environment
:
Occasionally exposed to air‑conditioned office, indoor without AC, outdoor weather, hazardous materials.
