Job SummaryPalolo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, part of Palolo Chinese Home, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading our nursing team and overseeing the delivery of quality care to our patients. The ADON will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with regulations, implement policies and procedures, and provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
Pay Range: $115,000 – $125,000 based on experience and skillset

- Assist in the management of nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high‑quality patient care.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth.
- Monitor and assess the quality of nursing care provided, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those set by regulatory agencies.
- Participate in meetings and committees to discuss and address nursing‑related issues and initiatives.
- Handle administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii
- Previous experience in a hospital, long‑term care setting, or other healthcare‑related facility
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals at all levels
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in healthcare
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
