Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced emergency department. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and is comfortable working rotating shifts, including consecutive weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients
• Rapidly assess, prioritize, and manage patients with varying levels of acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Accurately document patient care and outcomes using the electronic medical record system
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and emergency nursing best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be active prior to contract start)
• Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Ability to work rotating shifts and consecutive weekends as scheduled
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and multitasking skills

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Additional emergency-related certifications as required

Additional Information:

• Holiday coverage is required; holiday pay applies only when the shift begins on the holiday
• This assignment does not require affiliation with Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC)
