Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) is looking for an additional Ophthalmologist to join their growing team. VERC is a 24-hour veterinary emergency and specialty hospital with a state-of-the-art facility and a collaborative network of specialists and emergency professionals.

The successful candidate will be board-certified or residency-trained, motivated, and energetic. We emphasize a collaborative approach where specialists, emergency doctors, technicians, and client care staff work closely with referring veterinarians to deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation and relocation packages are tailored to support your transition, including sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and travel stipends. A visit to tour the hospital and meet the team is offered as part of the interview process (travel expenses paid by us).

• Provide ophthalmology care as a board-certified ophthalmologist or residency-trained candidate, contributing to a cohesive, collaborative team.
• Stay up to date with evolving medical guidance in ophthalmology and communicate effectively with team members and referring veterinarians.
• Collaborate with specialists, emergency doctors, technicians, and client care staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.

• Motivated, energetic, and able to fit into a cohesive team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Base compensation range: $200,000 – $230,000 depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a highly competitive compensation package with a signing bonus and relocation assistance. Additional benefits include a biannual travel stipend, short-term housing support while seeking a home, and relocation-related benefits.
