This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i. Applications received for this recruitment will be reviewed for Legal Authorization to work in the US. All applicants who pass the Legal Authorization review will be referred to the hiring department for consideration and an initial review of the application.
Applicants who meet the initial review requirements at the departmental level may be contacted by the hiring program for an interview. - Level I - $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)
- Level II - $3,900 to $4,933 per month (SR-13, Step C to I)
- Level III - $4,221 to $5,338 per month (SR-15, Step C to I)
- Level IV - $4,563 to $5,768 per month (SR-17, Step C to I)

Measurement Standards Inspector IThe Measurement Standards Inspector I is the entry level trainee class in the series. Positions in this class receive training on the State's measurement standards program, specifications, tolerances and other technical requirements for commercial measurement devices, with emphasis on weighing principles, elements, and devices. Training includes formal instruction, laboratory applications, and on-the-job training in assisting higher level personnel in the field.
MeasurementStandards Inspector II
The Measurement Standards Inspector II is the advanced trainee level in the series. Positions in this class continue to receive formal and on-the-job training designed to provide increased understanding of the State's measurement standards program and specifications, tolerances and other technical requirements for commercial measurement devices, with emphasis on thermal expansion and liquid measuring devices. Training continues to include formal instruction, laboratory application, and field experience in assisting higher level personnel.
MeasurementStandards Inspector III
The Measurement Standards Inspector III is the independent worker level in the series. Positions in this class inspect and test all types of commercial weighing and measuring devices including liquid measuring devices, examine and check packaged commodities and their labels to assure delivery of stated weights, contents, and/or counts; and regularly respond to complaints involving weighing and measuring devices. Positions receive training and participate in practical application in the laboratory and the field for the inspection of various linear devices, odometers and taximeters, and qualify control of petroleum products, packaging, and labeling.
MeasurementStandards Inspector IV
The Measurement Standards Inspector IV is the journeyman worker level in the series. Positions in this class independently perform the full range of inspections and testing of all commercially used weighing and measuring devices for conformance with established specifications, tolerances and governing rules; examination of packaged commodities for quantity content through application of prescribed statistical methods and procedures; quality determination on petroleum products in the field;
