Position Summary

We are seeking Loss Prevention Agents to join the Foodland team on Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. This role is responsible for protecting company assets in accordance with approved company policies and procedures by detecting, detaining, and arresting/trespassing shoplifters.

What You’ll Do

• Work in all store locations across the island.
• Prevent merchandise theft and shrink by monitoring store activities and ensuring employee compliance with company policies.
• Observe shoppers, detain, and interview individuals suspected of shoplifting in accordance with local laws and company policies.
• Complete and provide all necessary paperwork essential in referring theft cases to the police for criminal prosecution.
• Create records of apprehensions that may include interviews, witnesses, evidence, and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Testify in court trials relating to the prosecution of shoplifters.
• Research irregularities and potential internal theft found by observation or by conducting scorecards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Possess or be able to obtain and maintain Guard Card within 30 days of date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in criminal justice or related field.
• One year of experience working in Loss Prevention.
