Job Overview

As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague, also known as a Beauty Advisor, you are the trusted expert our customers turn to for all things beauty. You play a key role in creating a personalized and inspiring shopping experience that builds confidence and drives sales.

As an educator and beauty expert you offer advice, conduct product demonstrations, give tailored consultations, and introduce customers to new items and innovations that match their needs and style. Building lasting client relationships is at the heart of the role, and you will proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service, always aiming to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals.

Our Beauty Colleagues Spend Their Day
  • Start the day energized, greet teammates, ensure the sales floor is clean and organized, and review sales goals, new arrivals and promotions.
  • On the floor, focus on the customer with a warm welcome, eye contact, and personal conversation to build relationships.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by refreshing signage, assisting with merchandise moves, and supporting a seamless experience.
  • Share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have everything they need, and close each interaction with a sincere thank‑you.
  • Support each other with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive to improve daily, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other.

Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are scheduled 12‑24 hours per week. All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. Who You Are
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships with customers, demonstrating product application, and educating them on product benefits.
  • Drive sales and client loyalty while maintaining an organized, shoppable space; use clienteling tools; participate in sales events; stay up‑to‑date through ongoing training and vendor education.
  • Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
  • Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Effectively use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools.
  • At least one year of customer service or selling experience required.

Physical Requirements You Will Perform
  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting at least 25 lbs.; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, reaching above eye level.
  • Requires good vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology; handheld equipment; cash register; process register transactions.
