Position: Groundskeeper with Security Clearance
Overview Nakupuna Services is looking for a Groundskeeper to join the team. Under the general supervision of the Site Superintend ent , the Grounds keeper performs primarily ground maintenance work and assists with facilities maintenance tasks . The groundskeeper will work with a team of facility maintenance personnel and may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated below.

Responsibilities The following reflects management's definition of key functions for this job and reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary to meet operational requirements:
* Reports to the Site Superintendent who is responsible for overall facilities maintenance services
* Performs grass mowing and edging, hedge and ground cover trimming, tree pruning, vegetation control, plant pest control, fertilization, and overall planted area maintenance
* Maintains and repairs sprinkler and irrigation system s
* Identifies and inventories supplies, equipment, and other items needed to support grounds maintenance
* Performs ground maintenance equipment repairs as necessary
* Attends safety meetings and other related meetings
* Assists with minor facilities maintenance tasks Qualifications Skills/

Qualifications:

Knowledge of horticulture, ability to operate equipment . P ossess es communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to work effectively individually and with a team, ability to follow oral and written instructions, proven record of grounds maintenance work, knowledgeable of han dling and applying herbicides in a safe manner, ability to work for long hours on one's feet, agile to perform physical tasks constantly, knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.

Education and Experience:

Requirements consist of a high school education and 2 years of experience in ground maintenance work. License or certificate:
This classification requires the use of a pers onal or company vehicle while conducting company business. Must possess a valid (Clas

A) Hawaii driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Military Installation Access:
This position resides on a military installation. Candidate must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Clearance:
This position requires an active SECRET security clearance or qualify for an exemption approved by the Contracting Officer Representative. Must be a U.S. c itizen. Physical requirements :
The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in grounds maintenance .

Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical hazards . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception , and ability to adjust focus. This federal government project is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA). The hourly rate for this position is determined by the location where work is performed.

In addition to hourly pay, positions subject to SCA are entitled to a health and welfare (H&W) allowance which can be used to purchase company benefits. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market rates commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location.

The projected compensation rate for this position is $19.81 to $25.55 per hour. The hourly rate displayed represents the typical rate for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
