Security Clearance Requirement: Applicants must undergo a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, to access classified information. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance is required.

License/Certification Requirements:

• Certified/licensed in pipe fitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems, with a valid journeyman plumber’s license, highly preferred.
• Master's Plumber’s license issued by Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is preferred.
• Backflow Certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, modify, and repair plumbing systems.
• Maintain and upgrade plumbing equipment and piping.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on plumbing-related equipment.
• Report to the Shift Operating Engineer.
• Install and repair plumbing equipment such as water heaters, drinking fountains, toilets, sinks, etc., throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience and a High School diploma or GED.
• Must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance is required.

Desired/Advantageous Qualifications:

• Certified/licensed in pipe fitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems, with a valid journeyman plumber’s license, highly preferred.

Abilities

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Can relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
• Work at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders.
• Perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, crawling, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
• Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
• Recognize problems or potential issues.
• Apply general rules to specific problems and draw conclusions.
