Pay: $24.00–$25.00 per hour.
We are hiring immediately for this position. A minimum of 1 year of patient dining experience is preferred.
Job SummaryPatient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They ensure meals are accurate, timely, and meet nutritional restrictions, supporting patient safety and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
- Collaborate with nurses and culinary staff to provide alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and preferences.
- Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and timely; retrieve trays from patient rooms as scheduled.
- Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO regulations, including HIPAA policies.
- Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines in food handling and station cleaning.
- Adhere to infection control and sanitation policies.
- Assist dietitians with patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or require specific calorie counts.
- Communicate issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required daily, weekly, or monthly reports per company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proficiency reading, writing, and interpreting documents in English.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
