Loss Prevention Officer

Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and observant Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees by preventing theft, monitoring store activity, and responding to security incidents. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in protecting people and property, we’d love to have you on board.

What You'll Do:

• Walk around the store as you search for suspicious activity by customers and employees.
• Identify potential thieves from customers or employees.
• Approach and question individuals who seem to be acting suspiciously.
• Apprehend any person who commits theft in compliance with company procedures.
• Document theft and other violations of security, and what they observed on duty.
• Record all attempted and successful thefts.
• Recover stolen products and return these items to the sales floor.
• Work with law enforcement to detain suspects of shoplifting or dishonest employees.
• Provide eyewitness accounts at police stations, in court, and at other pertinent meetings.
• Brainstorm ways to prevent theft and vandalism in and around our store.

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
