Infrastructure Engineer

Who we are looking for  The ideal candidate is meticulous and uses industry guidelines to measure twice and cut once. You know and understand how critical all of the details are to ensuring compliance from Good Documentation Practices, Data Integrity, married with IT best practices and quality control. You appreciate the importance of paperwork and organization that comprises Quality Control coupled with team collaboration and occasional customer interaction.
A day in the life  The Infrastructure Engineer is also responsible for providing technical assistance, support and guidance. This role will work closely with other Infrastructure Engineers teaming and helping to manage routine operational tasks. The Engineer will uphold standards of quality, compliance, and stability as a constant priority, achieved through thorough documentation review and creation. Essential to the role's success are robust teamwork abilities, a strong sense of accountability, and adeptness in addressing customer issues promptly and calmly.

This role will additionally handle on-call duties and occasional support requests outside regular hours.
Roles   Developing, reviewing scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Troubleshooting complex issues and providing timely resolution
Conducting regular security assessments and implementing best practices
Mentoring and guiding junior team members
Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
Participating in on-call rotation and responding to critical incidents promptly
Documenting configurations, processes, and procedures
Required technical skills   VMware ESXi / Horizon View
Windows Server 2012R2, 2016R2, 2019, and 2022
Ubuntu and CentOS Apache / Nginx MySQL / Postrgess
Oracle and MS SQL Administration a plus
Basic networking: IP Addressing, Subnets, Routing, and Switching
Backup – Data Recovery Veeam
Infrastructure and Application monitoring tools and logs
Required skills and qualifications   Strong Organizational skills with an heightened attention to detail
Possess technical acumen and strong troubleshooting skills
Highly motivated – Driven to succeed and grow
Multitasking and work prioritization
Articulate written and oral communication
Prior data center and life sciences experience is a huge plus
Documentation experience review, creation, testing, and execution
Execute Quarterly Customer Patching
Manage Customer Account Administration (Accounts, Security Groups, and Folder Permissions)
Perform Pre-Approved Changes
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
