Opportunity – Maintenance Scheduler
Onshore based role working closely with the Maintenance Delivery Team to ensure safe and cost‑effective maintenance and responsive breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment via robust application of Spirit Energy Work Management Processes.
Shares responsibility with the Maintenance Delivery Team for meeting clearly defined Maintenance KPI’s. The Scheduler role ensures that asset activities are scheduled for completion by their due date, prioritizing work for the execution schedule and matching the capacities of resources and services to the work. The integrated schedules reflect all functions, including Preventive (PM) and Corrective (CM) maintenance, and consider 3M, 4W and Frozen 7D schedules.

- Engage and establish commitment from asset leadership to promote Work Management processes.
- Maintain a clear overview of the volume of corrective maintenance backlog and prioritize when to bring work into the schedule.
- Provide formal feedback to Leadership on the Delivery Team’s application of the 6 x Work Management Processes and use of SAP.
- Champion adherence to the Work Management Governance Structure, scheduling and structuring defined Work Management meetings.
- Collaborate with the Asset Planner to drive improvements within activity planning and scheduling.
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor / Team Lead to deliver daily support, ensuring efficient plan execution and optimal availability of plant and labour resources.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Team Leads and technicians to understand job requirements, priorities, and configure work orders for optimal execution.
- Prioritize work for site execution, matching capacities of resources and services.
- Maintain the schedule so that it reflects the integration of PM and CM, ensuring executable dates align with resource and access availability.
- Arrange and run daily and weekly scheduling meetings, ensuring appropriate input, OIM agreement, and sign‑off.
- Publish and communicate schedules and ensure all affected parties are notified.
- Coordinate and support the schedule performance feedback process.
- Work closely with the planner for seamless transition of activities through 3M and 4W time horizons.
- Keep appraised of 90‑day plans, especially in relation to equipment stops, outages and shutdowns.
- Prepare draft frozen schedules based on resource availability, task contents, operational constraints, and corrective work order priorities.
- Provide input into 3M and 4W planning meetings regarding trade resource availability.
- Industry background with experience in a trade discipline.
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, unambiguous, and able to embed change.
- Strong rapport building and influencing skills, able to lead conversations and persuade decision makers on complex topics.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and across the organization, including external partners.
