the Role

The QC Lab Tech II – Sample Management role supports Quality Control operations by managing the receipt, storage, distribution, and disposal of laboratory samples in a GMP-regulated environment. The position ensures accurate, timely sample flow while maintaining compliance with GxP, safety, and aseptic standards. You will work in a fast-paced QC services setting, handling cryogenic storage, documentation, and LIMS-related activities. The role requires strong organizational skills, precision, and ownership to achieve “first time right” quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the receipt, accessioning, storage, transfer, and distribution of QC samples, including handling of cryogenic storage (-80°C and LN2).
  • Ensure full compliance with GxP, GMP, GDP, SOPs, and safety regulations while maintaining high-quality and aseptic working standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping, 5S, and Kanban systems within the QC sample management areas to support efficient workflows.
  • Perform accurate documentation, training completion, deviation escalation, and sample disposal in line with established procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with QC teams to ensure timely, error-free sample processing in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO, preferably level 3/4) or a similar scientific educational background.
  • Hands-on experience in a QC, sample management, or technical laboratory role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Working knowledge of GMP, GDP, GxP, SOPs, and aseptic techniques in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high sample volumes accurately in a fast-paced, shift-based setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to communicate effectively in English, with flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
