Job Description & How to Apply Below
Join Petrodec and help drive a strong safety culture across our offshore operations. As Offshore QHSE Coordinator, you promote and safeguard compliance with the law and Petrodec's Integrated Management System (IMS) — supporting, training, and motivating the crew in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment. You operate as an independent function, developing, maintaining, and improving internal management processes, conducting audits, and familiarizing personnel with the IMS where needed.

This is a rotational offshore-based role, including regular visits to our onshore headquarters.

What You'll Do

Ensure compliance with the Petrodec IMS and that all work is properly planned, risk assessed, and carried out safely and efficiently under the Permit to Work System.

Support the organisation in day-to-day HSE matters and in preventing and controlling risk per the unit's Safety Case.

Observe, coach, and facilitate preparation of project-related HSE activities, and demonstrate clear safety leadership.

Stop any unsafe work and inform the OIM without hesitation.

Carry out offshore inspections, audits, and occupational health and safety checks on board the unit. Investigate incidents, near misses, hazards, and serious HSE complaints in cooperation with the OIM and Safety Representatives.

Make recommendations to the QHSE Manager to prevent recurrence of incidents and help prepare Lessons Learnt sheets.

Establish and maintain a harmonised filing system across units, and hand over effectively to the relieving Coordinator.

Bridge onshore and offshore operations and communications, and help improve IMS documentation.

What You Bring

NEBOSH or HVK qualification.

Preferably 5 years of offshore experience.

Confident in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English, with strong communication skills.

Working knowledge of legislative requirements and authoritative bodies governing offshore work.

Understanding of the hazards and risks of offshore work and the importance of TRAs, TbT, PtW, and related procedures and checklists.

Familiarity with the functionality, maintenance, and certification requirements of equipment. Knowledge of Emergency

Response procedures and related systems.

Ability to organise and deliver training and guidance to crew members.

A proactive, ownership-driven attitude, with a genuine commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
