Estates Administrator
Lord Wandsworth College
Hook, Hampshire
£29,000-£30,000 per year
Most administrator roles keep you busy. Here’s one that could take you somewhere.
If you’ve already gained some experience in administration, property, facilities, projects or a coordination role, this could be your opportunity to build a career in estates.
Lord Wandsworth College is investing in its estate, its team and the way its estates function operates. You’ll join that team at an interesting time, helping to keep the systems, contractors, projects and maintenance activity behind a large and varied estate organised.
Some of the job is straightforward administration.
There’ll be filing, scanning, updating records and making sure the right paperwork is in the right place.
But you won’t just be processing paperwork.
You’ll keep an eye on the estates helpdesk, spot jobs that aren’t progressing and ask the questions that help move them forward. You’ll coordinate with contractors, help arrange servicing, support projects and make sure the wider estates and property team has the information it needs.
In other words, you’ll start to learn how an estates operation actually works.
And if you want to take that further, there’s somewhere to go.
The School is open to supporting the right person with training, on-the-job development and potentially an apprenticeship or further qualification as you build your experience.
So perhaps you’re a Property Administrator, Facilities Administrator, Helpdesk Coordinator or Project Administrator wondering what your next step looks like.
This could be it.
You don’t need years of estates experience. But you will need some experience in an administrative or coordination role. More importantly, you’ll have the confidence to look at something, ask the right question and follow it through rather than simply passing it on.
You’ll be joining Lord Wandsworth College in Hampshire, where the estates team looks after teaching and boarding facilities, residential properties and a substantial campus.
Alongside £29,000-£30,000, you’ll benefit from the wider package available at the College, including complimentary restaurant-quality meals, a generous pension and access to outstanding sports and leisure facilities.
