Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

1:1 Teaching Assistants Required in Hook

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support children’s learning inside the classroom, working 1-1 with KS1 and KS2 pupils.

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: £90 a day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday

To be considered you must obtain an enhanced child only DBS and provide two contact references.

A number of primary schools based in the Hook area are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible, we have temporary and permanent positions available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting individual pupil/s in the classroom
  • Assisting with classroom activities and resources
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
  • Assisting with organising and tidying the classroom
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with primary children (KS1 – KS2)
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience supporting SEN children is desired but not essential
  • A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles (CPD training provided)
