Monday to Friday – Day shift
Overtime:
Available – Saturdays (07:00 – 12:00) paid at 150%

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join our client at their busy waste management site in Hartley Wintney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of site machinery safely and efficiently to support daily waste handling and recycling operations.

• Operate site machinery and plant (such as 360 excavator, loading shovel, or telehandler) to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Carry out daily and weekly checks, refuelling, lubrication, and greasing of machinery
• Promptly report and record any equipment defects or breakdowns
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised working environment at all times
• Ensure walkways, access points, and emergency exits remain clear
• Check incoming loads for compliance with site licence and permitted waste types
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors and team members to achieve operational targets

• Valid certification for
  360 Excavator, Loading Shovel, or Telehandler(one or more essential)
• Previous experience operating heavy plant or similar machinery in a waste or construction environment
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work comfortably in an outdoor environment

• Competitive hourly rate of £15.86 per hour
• Overtime available on Saturdays paid at 150%
• Full PPE provided
