- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures that produce quality images for interpretation.
- Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs.
- Position patients and accurately select anatomic and technical factors.
- Order, prepare, administer and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocol.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality images and documents to PACS.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly; report problems and lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following credentials:
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job‑specific experience.
