• Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
• Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and other areas in the department.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• May perform bone density scans using DEXA equipment, if applicable.

• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Bone Density Certification may be required within 6 months of hire or transfer date (if applicable).
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS obtained prior to hire or transfer date.

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology required.

• No additional preferences.
