Responsibilities:- In-depth knowledge of AWS D1.5 welding code and ability to ensure compliance with project specifications for hydraulic steel structures and structural steel components.
- Strong expertise in quality control processes, including inspection and testing of welds, materials, and structural components to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Familiarity with USACE and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). for hydraulic structures and bridge components.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, welders, and fabricators to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Skilled in preparing and maintaining accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance records.
- Leadership experience in mentoring and training quality control personnel on advanced standards and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills to manage complex quality challenges effectively.
- Expertise in quality control for fabrication of hydraulic steel structures and structural steel components for bridges, ensuring superior project outcomes.
- Strong knowledge and application of AWS D1.5 welding code and compliance with USACE and DOT specifications for bridge projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills to guide teams and resolve complex challenges effectively.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications, translating technical requirements into actionable quality plans.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent advanced certification preferred, demonstrating commitment to industry standards and best practices.
- Experience with Radiographic Testing of Welds and other non-destructive examination techniques.
