Gray’s Tree Service in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Sales Arborist to help residential and commercial customers choose appropriate tree and plant health care services. This customer-facing role combines sales, on-site property assessments, tailored proposals, and project coordination with field teams. Candidates with experience in home services—including landscaping, roofing, HVAC, pest control, or home improvement—are encouraged to apply. • Pursue new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and community engagement.
• Follow up with leads, present proposals, negotiate, and close sales.
• Visit residential and commercial properties to assess tree and plant health care needs and recommend appropriate services.
• Prepare clear, accurate estimates and proposals tailored to each customer’s property, goals, and project requirements.
• Build lasting customer relationships that support repeat business and referrals, and identify additional services relevant to customer needs.
• Coordinate project details with field teams to support successful service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Keep customer information, proposals, follow-up activities, and project updates current in the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.

• Experience in home services or a related industry, with a demonstrated ability to win business and achieve sales goals.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
• A self-motivated, results-oriented approach with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to work toward ISA Certified Arborist certification.
• Willingness to learn CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred:
  Previous sales experience in tree care or landscaping; knowledge of tree species, arboriculture practices, and tree care techniques; or a bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or a related field.
