We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to perform x-rays in a clinic setting and assist with check-in and check-out processes.

Responsibilities

Position Specific

Competencies:

In addition to the following essential position competencies, other competencies may be required to meet the changing organizational needs.

  • Uses appropriate problem-solving approach to plan performance of services.
  • Evaluates patient status to determine method of exam and coordinates with nursing staff and provider.
  • Verifies exam orders and makes appropriate modifications; clinics utilize Epic Electronic Medical Information System to generate Radiology check-in documents per department policy.
  • Utilizes technique charts located in rooms.
  • Has knowledge of daily quality control functions.
  • Provides services considering the physical, psychosocial, cultural/spiritual, and age-specific needs of those served.
  • Produces optimal images in compliance with Quality Assurance policies.
  • Utilizes good positioning skills when creating patient images.
  • Maintains education hours as required by ARRT and FHC, including BLS certification.
  • Follows departmental guidelines for disposition of images.
  • Marks images with all required identification.
  • Uses equipment and supplies appropriately.
  • Maintains clinical competencies.
  • Operates office and communication systems, including Electronic Medical Record system, HBOC, PACS, Epic EMR System, and Agility.
  • Selects and uses appropriate supplies needed to perform procedures and provide patient care.
  • Follows safety and infection control measures per OSHA and FHC requirements.
  • Adheres to radiation safety policies.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to co-workers.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and patients.
  • Documents and reports information correctly, including images, requests, QC, and equipment failures.
  • Qualifications
    • ARRT registered in Radiology.
    • 1 year of Radiology experience preferred.
    • Three years of experience in a physician office with medical billing experience may be accepted in lieu of formal billing or PSR training.
