Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is now accepting applications for the Registered Nurse Emergency Department for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7A–7P shift.

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

• Communicates effectively and establishes two‑way communication with peers, staff, physicians, and administration.

• Communicates appropriate information to charge nurse/supervisor/manager in a timely manner.

• Uses patient safety techniques in the delivery of medications.
• Monitors and reports in a timely manner any adverse drug reactions.
• Safely performs IV therapy.
• Accurately follows policies in patient care including blood administration, specimen labeling, and patient identification.

Must be a graduate of a certified RN program.

Previous experience is preferred but not required.

• License to practice in the state of Arkansas.
• Current BLS.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within the introductory period.
• Current TNCC certification or obtained within two years of hire.
• Current CPI within 30 days of hire.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, and kneel.
• Must possess visual acuity.
