Compensation & Schedule
  • Full time Evening Shift; includes every other weekend rotation; 2 PM – 10 PM

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse – Charge Nurse at Miller's, you are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift. You follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients and assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed. You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.

Qualifications General
  • Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Successfully complete pre‑employment process and screening.
  • Pass the physical examination required for employment at the facility.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
Job Knowledge
  • Nursing policies and procedures.
  • Administration of medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices.
  • Understanding of the physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents.
  • Knowledge of the organizational structure and duties of employees under the supervision of the unit manager.

  • Competent in supervision and leadership.
  • Caring attitude.
  • Observant.
  • Foster and maintain a good working relationship with other staff.
  • Good judgment and emotional stability.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
