Key Responsibilities For The Accountant

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Monitor and process accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), assist in collections, and maintain vendor communication.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and ensure accurate GL allocation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Produce clear and timely financial reports for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Reconcile bank activity and accurately reflect ACH payments.
• Update and manage forecasting and operational reports, including occupancy metrics.
• Act as a financial partner to operational teams, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Mentor and support business office staff across multiple locations, ensuring consistent compliance.
• Assist with audits, procurement processes, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications For The Accountant

• A degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger (GL), accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance independence with effective team collaboration.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems; bonus if you’ve trained or supported others on financial tools.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest improvements and help others succeed.
