As an Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be the backbone of our clinical operations - supporting our team in diagnostics, patient care, and client communication. You’ll bring technical expertise, empathy, and energy to every case, making a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including catheterization and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide proper animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas.
- Strong understanding of animal physiology and veterinary practices.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with kennel management and animal handling techniques.
- Experience in laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.
- Proficiency in animal restraint methods to ensure safe handling during examinations.
- Knowledge of X‑ray procedures and veterinary critical care protocols is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to animals in all situations.

Pay:
From $18-21
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
Schedule- Schedule flexibility
- 8 hour or half day shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday availability
