The Director of Sales is responsible for building, leading, and scaling the sales function at North Wing Digital. This role owns the sales department end‑to‑end—strategy, execution, performance, and team development—with a clear mandate to drive sustainable revenue growth.
This leader will develop and refine our sales strategy, lead and grow a high‑performing sales team, and personally contribute to closing new business. The Director of Sales will work closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure strong alignment, accurate scoping, and successful client outcomes.
Ideal candidates combine strategic thinking, strong leadership and management accountability (LMA), and a natural ability to build trust and rapport with decision‑makers at mid‑size and enterprise‑level organizations.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Leadership- Own and shape the sales department, including structure, strategy, goals, and performance.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Set revenue targets, forecasts, and pipeline goals; hold the team accountable to results.
- Build, coach, and lead a sales team focused on consistency, development, and outcomes.
- Continuously refine sales processes to support scalability and long‑term growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target mid‑size and enterprise‑level organizations.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with prospects through a confident, consultative, and engaging approach. Sales Process & Execution
- Design and maintain a scalable sales process, including lead qualification, discovery, follow‑up, nurturing, and closing.
- Actively participate in high‑value sales conversations, including discovery calls, pitches, and proposal presentations.
- Monitor funnel health and conversion metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accurate scoping and strong handoff to Account Managers and Delivery Leads.
- Maintain accurate, organized records within the CRM.
- Track and report on KPIs related to pipeline value, conversion rates, revenue and forecasting.
- Provide clear visibility into sales performance for leadership and EOS scorecards.
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency environment.
- Experience leading a team with responsibility for results and growth.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing services (SEO, paid media, web, content, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
- Experience building or refining a sales process is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Hub Spot or similar CRM tools.
- You naturally take ownership and hold yourself and others accountable.
- You enjoy leading people and shaping a department, not just closing deals.
