Fleet Mechanic – Rainbow Ecoscience

Salary Range: $26-$31/hour

As a Fleet Mechanic at Rainbow Ecoscience, you will join the team that maintains and repairs our wide variety of fleet vehicles and service equipment. This includes both preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel, gas‑powered, and electric vehicles and equipment. You will perform accurate diagnosis of issues through visual inspection, use of diagnostic equipment, and calibration devices.

You have a technical certification or hands‑on experience, a willingness to jump in, learn new skills, and help solve any technical issue. We provide on‑the‑job paid training and needed certifications. All shop tools and mobile tools are provided. This is a full‑time weekday position with overtime available.

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, small engines, and other specialty equipment.
• Perform periodic safety inspections of all fleet equipment.
• Determine required repairs using visual inspection, engine diagnostic equipment, and calibration devices.
• Perform occasional on‑site field repair.
• Complete detailed work orders, maintenance records, and other required documentation.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical degree or certification, or 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a commitment to safe driving.
• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain DOT Inspector certification within 3 months of hire.

• 2‑year technical degree or 4 years of related work experience.
• Class A driver’s license.
• Welding and fabrication experience.

May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to conditions including chemicals, the use of tools, and equipment. Safety precautions must be followed at all times, including the use of PPE and other safety equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
