Job Description
The Workday PRISM ETL Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support data integration within the Workday PRISM Analytics platform. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, enabling effective data‑driven decision‑making.
Essential Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain ETL products
- Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production‑ready and testable code
- Create optimal designs adhering to architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and performance
- Analyze failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
- Make sound design and coding decisions with customer experience in the forefront
- Incorporate feedback from code reviews and apply changes to meet standards
- Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
- Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
- Hands‑on experience with Workday integrations (EIB/API/Connectors/Studio/Orchestrate/Extend)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline, Git Hub, and UDeploy
- Experience with SaaS data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering applications such as Snowflake
- Proven experience as an ETL Engineer, Data Integration Specialist, or similar role
- Hands‑on experience with Workday PRISM Analytics, Accounting Center, and Workday integrations (Studio/Orchestrate/APIs)
- Familiarity with Workday Extend development
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration, developing and implementing applications
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA/Practitest/Dragon Boat
- Comfortable engaging with 3rd parties such as upstream or downstream application teams, business SMEs, cross‑functional work streams, etc. to uncover dependencies, risks, and coordinate testing scenarios/plans
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
