Mental Health Tech (MHT) Opportunity - Day Shift or Evening Shift

Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97-bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for youth, adults and active-duty military. On average, our team serves over 1,500 patients each year.

Join our team as a Mental Health Tech (MHT). You will provide compassionate care in a therapeutic environment, assist in treatment plans, lead therapeutic activities, and work with a dedicated team to ensure quality patient care.

• Job duties include: Demonstrated leadership ability, effective communication with diverse groups, and strong oral and written communication skills.
• The MHT must have knowledge of therapeutic relationships as related to adolescents, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behavior, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Maintain near visual acuity for evaluating patients and reading charts; eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity for charting; ability to talk and hear for patient interaction; ability to stand/walk for long periods.

MHT Requirements:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a human-service related field is preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Two years of experience working with people in group settings or with individuals who have mental health or developmental challenges is preferred. One year of employment with a facility is required to serve as a mentor.
• Shifts Available:
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8 hours)
• Weekend day shift:
  Friday – Sunday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12 hours)
• Evening shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8 hours)

Must be 21 years of age or older.
