: 2nd Shift – Monday through Friday, 6:30 pm to 3:15 am
Pay
: $18.00 /hr + $1.50 shift premium with a pay raise every six months up to 48 months
- Primary job focus is the loading & unloading of trucks, placing & removing items from inventory, and operating various packaging equipment. Additional responsibilities include delivering parts, materials, and supplies to the proper production area, and removing finished product from the line in a timely manner.
- Removes finished product and excess parts from the production area.
- Stocks/re‑stocks parts and products.
- Unloads inbound trucks, enters materials into inventory, and stocks in proper location. Verifies shipment accuracy and inspects for damage.
- Removes products from inventory, stages the product, and loads outbound trucks.
- Operates the following equipment in a safe and proper manner: forklift, scanner, shrink wrapper, and various pieces of packing equipment.
- Supports the stocking of the production area to the proper level of parts, products, and packing & raw materials to insure effective operations.
- Performs basic maintenance on equipment and lift trucks.
- Provides training, leadership and guidance to new/less experienced Material Handlers.
- Maintains equipment, tools, and work area in a clean and professional manner.
- Maintains the proper documentation and record keeping.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Some college or technical school training/coursework is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in automotive material handling and/or inventory control.
- Forklift license, training, and/or experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of production processes or production, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with the Kanban process.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., HiLo, forklift, etc.).
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural work environment.
- Ability to function both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively within time constraints and deadlines, and handle stressful situations.
- Analytical skills, problem‑solving skills, and good judgment.
- Ability to work more than eight hours a day or to work a holiday or weekend if needed.
- Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
- Must demonstrate commitment, entrepreneurship, innovation, perseverance, professionalism, self‑discipline, and teamwork.
- Must be self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, quality‑driven, and capable of working with minimum supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Japanese and/or Spanish is a plus.
- Solid working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and other computer‑based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).

Plant:
Standard automotive plant/warehouse environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
Must be willing to travel up to 5% of the time.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, standing, and climbing or bending on, under, or near tooling and equipment for extended periods of time. Frequently required to reach, grasp, and manipulate parts, materials, or equipment. May occasionally be required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
