Innovative Staff Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader with a client in the Hopkinsville, KY IL area! This is a full time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary range and benefits package.

The Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader (Assembly) directs and coordinates activities of manufacturing engineers and manufacturing engineering technicians – and designs, develops, tests, and evaluates integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, implement and maintain assembly and test processes including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Create, maintain, and control assembly process documentation
  • Generate and maintain PLC programs for assembly and test equipment
  • Implement engineering changes and communicate those changes to appropriate personnel
  • Engage in problem solving activities, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel
  • Interact with various departments to develop an understanding of all products manufactured by Hydro-Gear and overall business operations
  • Assist with on-going operator training activities
  • Work concurrently with design engineers during implementation of new products to aid with design for manufacturability
  • Assist with various activities and projects as directed by the production manager
  • Participate in development and execution of team budget
  • Ensure that all staff are properly trained, developed and evaluated
  • Participate in recruiting activities
  • Develop and maintain process design standards
  • Responsible for interpreting and enforcing company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment
  • Follow safety regulations and actively contribute to work safety
  • Reinforce confidentiality practices and ensure rules are appropriately followed

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) degree from a 4 year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Special Knowledge/ Experience, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet Software, Microsoft Word Processing Software, CAD, NX Design Software and Publishing/Graphics Software such as Microsoft Power Point
Expected Travel
  • Up to 10% domestic travel is expected for this position
