• Reports to: Quality Manager
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibility
• Work Environment: Professional and manufacturing environment; standard office equipment; occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; moderate noise
• Work Hours: Full-time; typical Monday through Friday with extended hours and possible weekend work
• Travel: Local travel to various worksites is required

• Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Procedures in compliance with the TS/IATF Quality System Standard
• Interpret established Customer and internal product quality standards
• Participate in and/or coordinate APQP activities
• Ensure implementation of necessary procedures and work instructions to meet Quality System requirements; affect processes when needed
• APQP
  • Participate in and/or coordinate internal APQP activities, including development of schedules and status reports
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, and Purchasing to provide all documents and tests per JCSNA and Customer requirements
  • Coordinate check fixture and gage development
  • Provide customer support as needed
• PPAP
  • Coordinate PPAP Submissions for assigned programs per JCSNA and Customer requirements and maintain status reports
  • Maintain PPAP Submission manuals for assigned programs
  • Alert management of any schedule concerns
  • Ensure PPAP approvals or interim approvals are communicated to all affected departments
• Metrology
  • Develop gage control and calibration system per applicable procedures
  • Supervise and/or perform part lot/operations activities; set priorities, resolve problems, and issue monthly activity reports
  • Perform CMM Programming as assigned
  • Communicate problems to appropriate departments and ensure corrective actions are traced
• Material Review
  • Participate in MRB meetings as assigned
• Supplier Quality
  • Supervise Receiving Inspection and related activities
  • Monitor and follow up Supplier corrective actions
  • Coordinate APQP and PPAP activities per procedures
• SPC Program
  • Assist in development and implementation of procedures to meet JCSNA policies and Customer requirements
  • Ensure Control Plan requirements are met
  • Support Manufacturing in root cause analysis and problem solving
• Corrective Action System
  • Assist in coordination of JCSNA CAS
  • Maintain Customer C/A per applicable requirements
  • Participate in and/or coordinate C/A activities
• Manufacturing Support
  • Provide quality support to assigned areas
  • Communicate quality concerns to applicable departments
  • Train Plant associates on quality procedures, inspection methods, and reaction plans
  • Develop and maintain inspection instructions per Control Plan requirements
• Customer Support
  • Field customer calls for assigned areas, issue RA’s, and ensure follow-up
  • Issue CARs for customer concerns
• General
  • Process potential and capability studies as needed
  • Monthly activity reports

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CQE, CQA, or 4-year degree (or willingness to obtain within one year)
• Minimum 2 years automotive experience
• Familiar with TS/IATF System requirements
• Experience in problem solving and reporting (e.g., 8-D, PR/R, QR)
• Computer literate
• Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience in internal or external system auditing
• Metrology experience (CMM, gage calibration, measuring systems)
• Experience in advanced quality planning
• Possess supervisory experience (preferred)
• Good communication skills, both oral and written; team player; self-motivated
• Willing to travel

• Stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
• Regularly required to walk, sit, talk, and use hands
• May occasionally lift up to 32 pounds
• Physical ability to use a computer for extended periods and perform vision tasks
