Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$17.00 to $21.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.87 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The role is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, developing store employees, recruiting, maximizing financial goals, and managing Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. Work with the Store Manager to lead the team and set a customer-centric tone.

This position analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met and supports asset protection, business promotion, and new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Compensation includes an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Final pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and asset protection procedures.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and loan documentation.
  • Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve items stored externally.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate; ability to operate POS systems and office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills; cash handling experience required.
