Are you passionate about precision measurements and hands‑on optical testing?

As our new Optical Testing Technician, you will play a key role in testing nano‑and micro‑optical components, improving measurement setups, and supporting the development of reliable optical test processes. This is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in a fast‑moving, multidisciplinary environment at the forefront of nano‑and micro‑optics innovation.

Based in our modern office and cleanroom facilities in Seehallen Horgen, right next to Lake Zürich, you will join an experienced, collaborative team working on optical testing, laboratory processes, and the development of next‑generation optical components and modules.

Tasks and responsibilities

Optical Testing

Execution of optical testing of nano‑and micro‑optical components for our ongoing customer projects.

Test Setup Improvement

Implement test setup improvements and optimizations. Automate processes and measurement workflows.

Test System Maintenance and Monitoring

Maintenance and monitoring of test setups and test machines to ensure reliable and efficient operation.

Measurement Reporting and Data Analysis Support

Creation of measurement reports, clear documentation of results and contributing to the development of data analysis and continuous improvement of measurement workflows.

Laboratory Support

Various tasks in the optics laboratory, including hands‑on support for testing and setup activities.

Skills, experiences and qualifications we are looking for
  • Vocational training as a physics laboratory technician, a degree in engineering (FH/University, minimum Bachelor’s), or comparable technical education
  • Experience in metrology
  • Experience in working in the lab, ideally optics lab
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language, ideally Python
  • Independent working style
  • English language skills
