About the Role
In this role, you will be working as part of a small and diverse team to implement the Previse software for our clients within the Previse Project Implementation Framework. This will involve working with clients to understand their ETRM requirements, configuring the Previse software to meet those requirements, and then working with the clients to test the implementations, training users in the software, and supporting go-live activities.
The implementations may see you working solely for a client, as part of a larger Previse team, or part of a wider team to also include our implementation partners.
You will also act as an intermediary between the client and our internal development team, ensuring the delivery of our software meets the requirements and quality expectations of the client. You will also analyse and translate requirements into functional specifications and configure the Previse software to meet those requirements, and will also be supporting Principal Consultants in testing and demonstrating our solution, and play an important role in the continuous development of our offering by proactively supporting our product team.
This is a hands-on role covering a wide array of activities that will require building up know-how not only about the software and implementation life cycle but also in the European Power, Gas, and Emissions trading & operational landscapes.
The successful candidate will have strong business analysis skills and a background in the Energy Trading Industry, as well as software development and implementation experience. Within the role, the consultant will develop their knowledge within the commodity trading and risk management software (CTRM) markets and become a key member of the Previse Services team. Due to the nature of the work, team members will gain exposure to all parts of our client trading businesses, and therefore, you must have a proactive nature and an enthusiasm to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct requirements workshops and analysis to capture customer’s requirements.
- Perform issue resolution, analysis and troubleshooting of the Previse software when implemented for clients.
- Developing specifications for Business Scenarios, Solutions and Test Cases.
- Support the implementation and sales process of our software for existing, new or potential clients.
- Configuring the Previse software to meet client requirements during implementations.
- Work with internal teams and Subject Matter Experts to analyse complex requirements and develop a solution definition for enhancements to the Previse software.
- Support system and regression testing, assisting the client’s user testing.
- Support the product team’s software test plan execution based on your hands-on client experiences.
- Help support and guide members of Previse, partners, or clients who are less familiar with the software to aid their understanding.
- To be an active and contributing member of the team on product implementations, enhancements, and/or integration projects.
- Provide informative and tailored customer training on the application.
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a closely related area.
You will have at least 5 to 8 years of hands-on IT implementations, working within a similar Professional Services team that is directly client-facing and ideally within the Energy or Trading sector. You are a team player who works well under pressure and who likes to challenge yourself working with highly experienced and talented individuals. You are communicative and able to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
