SEND Learning Support Assistant – Specialist Setting in Horley

Pay: £93–£100 per day

A welcoming specialist setting in Horley are looking for a SEND Classroom Assistant to join their team.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, moderate learning difficulties, speech & language needs, and sensory processing needs within a nurturing and supportive environment.

The role is hands‑on, varied, and incredibly rewarding.

The role will include:
  • Supporting learning activities within the classroom
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Supporting emotional regulation and communication
  • Encouraging independence and engagement within learning
  • Helping create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A genuine passion for SEND education
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude

Training and ongoing support will be provided.
